Rev. Emmanuel De La Torre

I was raised in a Pentecostal environment and from a young age felt a strong calling from the Lord to serve in ministry. Throughout my youth, I immersed myself in the teachings of the Bible, eagerly devouring its words and seeking to understand its deeper meanings. I became deeply involved in Children’s Church, where I found joy in learning the stories and lessons of the Bible.

At the age of sixteen, I began my journey in ministry, starting in various roles within the local church. Over the years, I served in positions such as youth pastor, worship pastor, associate pastor, and children’s pastor, all with the goal of furthering the kingdom of God.

In 2014, I took on the role of lead pastor at Tulelake Assembly, where the church experienced tremendous growth and stability within the community.

Outside of my local church duties, I served the Central Pacific Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God in several key roles, including East Bay Area Missions Director and San Jose Area Youth Rep.

Currently, I serve as the Lead Pastor of Strong Tower Community Church in San Jose. Additionally, I oversee the Central Pacific Ministry Network’s “Center of Theological Studies” as its education director, ensuring that future leaders are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to serve effectively.

I am the founder and president of God With Us Ministries, a ministry aimed at empowering and discipling youth while providing them with opportunities to serve and fellowship.

Outside of my ministry work, I operate Agape Consulting, where I focus on leadership development for churches, schools, and non-profits. I am licensed with the state of California as a High School Social studies teacher, a profession I worked in for three years. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor’s in Theology, and Masters in Education with a Concentration in Teaching. Currently, I am pursing a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction.
